Michal received her K.R.I (Kundalini Research Institute), Kundalini Yoga Teacher Certification at Kundalini Yoga East in NYC in the year 2000 and spent six months in Espanola, NM immersing in the teachings of Kundalini Yoga alongside Yogi Bhajan, the late Master of Kundalini Yoga.
Her spiritual name in the Kundalini tradition is Hari Charn Kaur: the Lotus Feet of God.
Michal received her Hatha Yoga Level I; Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Certification at Laughing Lotus Yoga Center in NYC in the year 2001 and has since expanded her approach to the practice of Hatha, Vinyasa Yoga with the study of Anusara Yoga; the teachings of John Friend. Her Vinyasa classes provide a clear understanding of proper postural alignment along with breath while flowing through the Asanas.

Vinyasa Yoga: Inspiring, dynamic classes designed to develop flexibility, strength, and inner awareness. Classes include vinyasa (flow) and deeper exploration of poses, with optional challenging variations for more advanced students. Anusara and Astanga inspired, these classes explore the Five Universal Principles of Alignment, Sun Salutation variations, postural alignment (instruction and demonstration), yoga philosophy, and chanting.
Kundalini Yoga and Meditation: Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of awareness, is the science used to unite the finite with infinity and the art used to experience infinity in the finite. It includes all the elements of the ancient teachings of Yoga through the combination of postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), sound, visualization, and meditation to awaken the creative potential that lies deep within. Kundalini Yoga works on a deep and subtle level to relieve the stress of everyday life and break the habits of the mind that are often the cause of mental, emotional, or physical dis-ease. As the glandular and nervous systems are brought into balance through dynamic stretching and strengthening Kriyas, the chakras are opened and aligned. The mind becomes still and one is left with the direct experience of expanded consciousness, relaxation and joy. Click here for more information on Kundalini Yoga.
Naad
Yoga: The
essential goal of Naad yoga is to generate mind/body balance by using "primal
sounds" or mantra. Naad yoga is chanting of exclusively "primal sounds"
- sounds that are considered most basic and central to human speech. The best
known of these primal sounds is OM and AUM.
Naad yoga appears to invigorate specific endocrine glands, as well as the brain
itself, apparently through simple vibration. The chanting of primal sounds is
believed to stimulate the reflex points in the mouth and to change subtly the
vibration of the energy meridian upon which the reflex points lie. The vagus
nerve, which is considered by many anatomists to be the most important single
nerve in the body, is also stimulated The vagus nerve supplies the larynx, the
pharynx, lungs, heart and intestinal tract.
In addition, Naad yoga employs a careful system of positioning of the hands
and fingers. From neuro-anatomy we know that the hands and fingers are highly
represented in the motor and sensory cortex of the brain. We also know that
certain movements of the hands and fingers seem to help the brain to "pattern"
physical coordination. This positioning of hands and fingers (called Mudras)
apparently has an effect upon cognitive function.
